STEP 8 – PLANTS AS MEDICINE THROUGH HISTORY

broken image

Imhotep (2667 – 2648 B.C.), an Egyptian, is the earliest named physician in HISTORY. The earliest known surgery in Egypt was performed around 2750 B.C. ~~~ If this dating is accurate, this would have been BEFORE the FLOOD (circa 2298 BC), and METHUSELAH would have still been alive (he died the year of the flood and was Noah's grandfather)! ~~~

Egypt founded Houses of Life, which were medical institutions, as early as the First Dynasty.

The Kahun Gynaecological Papyrus includes treatments for women's ailments, including conception problems. Thirty-four cases survive, and these include various fragmentary details of diagnosis and medical treatment. Written somewhere around 1800 B.C., the Kahun Gynaecological Papyrus remains the oldest surviving medical text in existence. ~~~ ISAAC and REBEKAH would have been married circa 1811 BC ~~~
QUESTION – HOW DID ABRAHAM'S SERVANT KNOW WHO WAS TO BE ISAAC'S WIFE? (See Genesis 24:12-21.)
